Valencia submit bid for Manchester United’s Tom Cleverley
Valencia have reportedly submitted a formal bid for Manchester United midfielder, Tom Cleverley, joining teammates Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez and Shinji Kagawa on Los Che’s summer transfer wishlist.
According to Sky Sports’ Amy Lewis, Valencia are the latest club to submit a bid for Cleverely, who looks to be one of many players to be sold by Manchester United before the summer transfer window closes next Tuesday.
Cleverely has been heavily criticised by the Manchester United fans over the past season under former manager David Moyes, and has failed to win them over under Louis Van Gaal, prompting many to call of the sale of the 25-year-old this summer.
News of Valencia’s bid comes a day after English Premier League side, Aston Villa submitted a formal £8 million bid for the Manchester United youth product, which the ‘Red Devils’ reportedly accepted.
Reports of players linked with Valencia will only accelerate, as future Valencia owner Peter Lim has recently arrived in Europe from Singapore last night and it is believed that he has come to convince the club’s final transfer targets to join his up-and-coming project.
