Manchester United's transfer deadline day capture of Radamel Falcao has reportedly resulted in the Colombian becoming the highest paid player in the club's ranks.
United captain Wayne Rooney is believed to have had the largest salary of around £250,000 per week until Falcao moved to Old Trafford yesterday on a season-long loan from Monaco.
According to the Daily Star, United have denied that they are paying Falcao around £350,000 per week, but it is believed that the 28-year-old, who reportedly tried to initially engineer a move to Real Madrid, is now the club's highest earner.
Reports have claimed that the striker is expected to pocket around £18m in wages during his season at the North-West outfit, who paid Monaco a £6m loan fee for his services.
United have confirmed that there is an option to buy at the end of Falcao's loan, with reports stating that the French outfit want £45m for him.
