Luis Suarez has said that it was "a big relief" to make his debut for Barcelona over three months after completing his move to the club.
The Uruguay international started yesterday's El Clasico match against Real Madrid, providing the assist for Neymar's opening goal in the 3-1 defeat.
The 27-year-old told Canal Plus: "It was a big relief. I'm very happy with the minutes I had. I have a bittersweet sensation because of the result but this team has picked itself up before many times.
"I felt really good. I have been training for a long time with this game in mind and so when the coach made the decision I was in the right shape to play."
Suarez, who completed a £75m to Camp Nou from Liverpool this summer, had been serving a four-month ban after biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini at this summer's World Cup.
