Louis van Gaal has been offered the chance to bring World Cup winning midfielder Sami Khedira to Old Trafford for £200,000-a-week, according to reports.
The 28-year-old is out of contract at Real Madrid this summer and has been linked with a move to a host of European clubs.
However, Manchester United have now been given the chance to beat the competition to Khadira's signature, for a weekly salary of £200,000, reports the Daily Star.
If van Gaal successfully recruits Khedira, he would become Manchester United's first ever senior German player.
However, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are all also interested in signing Khedira, the newspaper adds.
