Jose Mourinho hails "cold-blooded" Andre Schurrle

Jose Mourinho has hailed the "cold-blooded" nature of Andre Schurrle after his 17-minute hat-trick helped Chelsea to a 3-1 win over Fulham on Saturday.

The German marksman inspired the Blues to a West London derby triumph at Craven Cottage, giving Mourinho's troops a four-point cushion at the top of the table in the process.

"He is in a learning process in relation to the Premier League but what I expect from him is this - cold blood in front of the goal," he told the club's official website.

"He is not a guy for whom the goal becomes very small. He is the kind of guy who in front of goal is normally cool. He is a finisher. He sees the keeper's reaction and he can do it with the left and the right foot. I expect him to score some goals."

The 23-year-old has struck seven times for Chelsea in all competitions following a big-money move from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer.
