Manchester United have beaten Aston Villa 4-1 in Saturday's early kick-off.
The hotly anticipated banner, slamming David Moyes' handling of the club, which was flown over Old Trafford was a damp squib though, with the United faithful showing their full support of the Scot.
Ashley Woodward's superb free-kick had given the visitors the lead, before Wayne Rooney's calmly taken header got the home side back in the match.
And, when the England striker converted a penalty just before the end of the first-half, it looked like United would pick up all three points.
Juan Mata got his first goal for the Red Devils in the second half and Javier Hernandez steered home Adnan Januzaj's cross to bring up the fourth.
Find out below what the Twitter world thought of the match.

This whole plane banner thing shows the lack of class and how plastic Man United fans really are.
Daniel Watt @Danwatt8
Man United fans flying over Old Trafford with a banner are a disgrace. Stick by your team through thick&thin, not just when you're winning.
Ian Abrahams ✔ @BroadcastMoose
United fans went through with it, putting up an anti David Moyes message above OT

Fair play David Moyes. Clever, brave move, that . Now turn your silly plane round boys and let's watch the game . #mufc
Steve Jennings @SteveJenn93
Nice to see the real United fans give Moyes some appreciation. The ones who paid for the plane/banner probably aren't even at OT.
chlo @chloehenryx
'moyes out' banner and so many empty seats. one bad season and the fans turn.
Jack Wilson @JPWilson95_
United fans booing the David Moyes protest banner, great to see! Great support to the team/manager

From that reaction Hernandez is definitely off in the summer
VectrA @Djvectra
I dont blame Hernandez for the muted celebration he needs more game time
