Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Manchester City defender Micah Richards.
The 25-year-old has been at the Blues for entire career, but recently rejected the offer of a new five-year contract.
According to the Daily Mail, Brendan Rodgers is keen on completing a deal for the England international due to his ability to play at right back and in central defence.
His current contract is due to expire at the end of the next season and City are believed to be holding out for a transfer fee in the region of £8 million.
Richards has only made two appearances in the Premier League this season due to a succession of injuries.
