Barcelona could announce Luis Suarez signing by next week

Barcelona and Liverpool are reportedly close to an agreement over the transfer of Uruguayan striker, Luis Suarez, which will be for a rumoured €70m all-cash, with no players included.

According to Catalan radio station, RAC1, Barcelona director, Raül Sanllheí, as expected, was in London meeting with Liverpool CEO, Ian Ayre and the two sides are close to reaching an agreement over the transfer, which will not feature Chilean winger, Alexis Sanchez, who has refused a move to Anfield.

While the deal is not expected to be announceed before the weekend, the two sides are reportedly so close to finalising the deal that the announcement could be made next week.

Other rumours have surfaced that although no players will directly in the deal for Suarez, Sanchez could make a move to Arsenal to help fund the transfer for the 27-year-old, but these are unconfirmed at this time.
