Zenit pressure tells against AEL
AEL Limassol FC buckled at the last in their UEFA Champions League third qualifying decider at FC Zenit, Danny's goal and an Aleksandr Kerzhakov penalty stopping the ten men from taking the tie into extra time.A 1-0 win in the first leg had given last season's Cypriot league runners-up hope, but their task at the Stadion Petrovski got much harder on 27 minutes when Danielzinho was sent off for a second bookable offence. It took until the second half for José Rondón to get Zenit back on terms, but André Villas-Boas's side eventually made pressure pay, rounding off an aggregate win with an opportunistic strike in the 88th minute and a penalty in added time.

Rosenberg inspires Malmö to Sparta success
Markus Rosenberg scored twice to inspire his side to victory on away goals
Swedish champions Malmö FF advanced to the UEFA Champions League play-offs, two Markus Rosenberg goals spelling the end for AC Sparta Praha.

David Lafata's first-leg hat-trick was not enough for Sparta to progress as Malmö's captain struck either side of the interval. Malmö conceded four goals in Prague but held firm at home to eliminate the Czech champions on away goals, the visitors finishing with ten men.
Sparta's star man from the first leg had the first goalscoring opportunity, but Lafata shot over the bar after 23 minutes from inside the box. A minute later, Isaac Kiese Thelin came close to connecting with an Emil Forsberg pass in the Sparta box, but he had better luck as a provider, with his flick on 35 minutes setting up Rosenberg to elegantly chip over David Bičík.

Dušan Perniš kept a clean sheet against Sheriff as his Slovan team progressed
ŠK Slovan Bratislava secured a 0-0 draw against FC Sheriff  to inch closer to a first UEFA Champions League group stage appearance.
Dušan Perniš, the visitors' goalkeeper, kept Sheriff at bay in the second leg of this third qualifying round tie as both sides hit the post within three second-half minutes. That action came shortly after Sheriff's Elkin Blanco had received a 56th-minute red card for a second bookable offence, which left the hosts with too much to do to prevent František Straka's side entering the play-offs.

The dismissal of Yuri Logvinenko for a second bookable offence lengthened the odds against Aktobe, but Timur Kapadze struck late for the visitors to ensure a nervy finish for the Romanian side.

Beşiktaş JK cruised into the UEFA Champions League play-offs as Demba Ba struck a hat-trick to put an end to Feyenoord. Already 2-1 up from the first leg, the hosts gave themselves an additional cushion when the Senegalese international struck his first on 28 minutes. Elvis Manu gave the Dutch visitors hope when he made it level on the night with 16 minutes remaining, but Ba registered twice more in the closing ten minutes to keep alive Beşiktaş's hopes of reaching the group stage for the first time since 2009/10.

A wonder-goal from Bashkim Kadrii helped FC København to get past FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, and reach the UEFA Champions League play-offs.
Urged on by their home crowd, the Danish runners-up registered their second clean sheet of the tie with goals from Andreas Cornelius and Kadrii propelling them to the play-offs. Dnipro will hope for better luck as they enter the UEFA Europa League at the play-off stage.
With everything to play for after a 0-0 draw in Ukraine, FCK made a positive start. After ten minutes, striker Cornelius had an effort chalked off for offside, but the Danish international did not have to wait too long for a goal. On 36 minutes, he linked up well with wing-back Pierre Bengtsson, who took the ball to the byline before crossing for the unmarked Cornelius to score from inside in the box.
København continued to press after the break, knowing that a Dnipro away goal could turn the tie against them. After 52 minutes, Kadrii delivered a second goal when he picked up the ball in the middle of the pitch and sped past challenges before finishing his spectacular run with a finish off the far post.
Dnipro's best chance fell to Nikola Kalinić, who controlled a cross on his chest before firing just wide with just under an hour played. The hosts did a professional job of seeing the game out and could have scored a third late on, but Danny Amankwaa failed to find the target from close range.

Salzburg players leap onto the back of Martin Hinteregger after the defender scored
Martin Hinteregger proved the hero for FC Salzburg after his first-half double helped the Austrian champions overturn a first-leg deficit and edge past Qarabağ FK into the UEFA Champions League play-offs.
With his side 2-1 down after a 2-1 defeat in Azerbaijan last week, 21-year-old defender Hinteregger squared up the tie with a powerful header 18 minutes in and got what proved to be the crucial goal 16 minutes later as he turned in a rebound at close range. The hosts pushed to extend the advantage but no more goals came and, after a nervy finish, eventually celebrated their place in Friday's draw. adium: Stadion Salzburg, Salzburg (AUT)

Aalborg BK achieved an outstanding result in Croatia as Anders Jacobsen's double helped overturn a first-leg deficit against GNK Dinamo Zagreb and put the Danish side into the UEFA Champions League play-offs.Few would have backed Kent Nielsen's side after a 1-0 defeat on home turf last week, but when Jacobsen coolly leveled the tie on 36 minutes, the visitors sensed an upset. The No18 repeated the dose with five minutes remaining, scoring his side's second with only their second shot on target, to shock the Stadion Maksimir and give the AaB fans hope of repeating their 2008/09 group stage adventure.

Marcelinho's double was enough for Ludogorets to beat Partizan on away goals
There were two goals each for Petar Škuletić and Marcelinho and a red card for FK Partizan's Branislav Trajković in a thrilling first half, with PFC Ludogorets Razgrad eventually progressing to the UEFA Champions League play-offs on away goals.
Two goals in as many minutes for Marcelinho put the Bulgarian visitors in the ascendency before Partizan fought back to 2-2 through Škuletić's quick-fire double. An open first half concluded with Trajković being dismissed and Ludogorets held on to progress on away goals.
