Man Utd to terminate Anderson's contract

Manchester United are ready to terminate the contract of midfield flop Anderson.

According to the Telegraph, Louis Van Gaal is prepared to spend £1.4million in order to cut the Brazilian from his squad unless a buyer can be found in the January transfer window.

Anderson was told by the Dutchman that he has no future at Old Trafford over the summer, but the Red Devils were unable to convince a club to take him off their hands.

The 26-year-old, who joined United in 2007 for a staggering £20million from Porto, has failed to reach the heights predicted by Sir Alex Ferguson.

The midfielder spent the second-half of last season on-loan with Serie A outfit Fiorentina, and has only appeared once in the current Premier League campaign as a substitute against Burnley.
