Chelsea held,Arsenal miss out on chance to go top,as Liverpool and Tottenham close gap

A late Victor Anichebe strike was enough to deny CHELSEA all three points, and a chance to go 4points clear at the League summit, after Branislav Ivanovic had put the blues in front earlier on at WEST BROM.

Second Placed ARSENAL missed out on a chance to capitalise on Chelsea slip and move to the top of the League,as they were held to a goalless draw at home to MANCHESTER UNITED.

Steven Gerrard struck a last minute penalty to fire LIVERPOOL past a persistent FULHAM at Craven Cottage. Kolo Toure's own goal put the hosts in front, but Daniel Sturridge's equaliser was replied by a Kieran Richardson finish. Daniel Sturridge set up Philippe Coutinho to pull Reds level again, before skipper Steven Gerrard wrapped up the points from the spot, with almost the last kick of the game. The win sees Reds cut the point gap on 3rd placed Manchster City to just one point, though the Citizens have a game in hand, after their game against Sunderland was postponed dude to harsh weather conditions.

Emmanuel Adebayor put up a five star display to fire TOTTENHAM past NEWCASTLE at the Sports direct Arena, scoring two in the process. The Togolese put Spurs one up in the first half, only for Paulinho to double up after the break,Adebayor got his second of the game, before Chadli rounded up the route moments later. Spurs are just within three points of 4th place Champions League spot, occupied by Liverpool.
