On September 2,2013 German attacking midfielder,Mesut Ozil agreed to join Arsenal from Real Madrid on a five Year deal,in a record move worth around £42.5m,making him the most expensive German player in history.
Mesut Özil made his debut for Arsenal in their league game away to Sunderland on 14 September 2013,where he assisted Olivier Giroud's goal in the 11th minute of the match as they went on to win 3–1.
Three days after that, he made his Champions League debut for Arsenal against Marseille.
Just over three weeks after making his debut for Arsenal, he made his home debut against Stoke City in a 3–1 victory,where he was again involved in all three goals, with two assists and a free kick which was saved but fell into Ramsey's path.
The German sensation went on to score his first goal for Arsenal, with a brilliantly controlled finish from an Aaron Ramsey cross, in a 2–0 win against Napoli in the Champions League.
Scoring his first two Premier League goals during the 4–1 home win against Norwich City on 19 October,and things just got better with each game for the German,who was seen and believed by many to be the team's good luck charm this season.
Mesut Ozil's fortune would later change,just like every other footballer's,but very few believed the change would incure such heavy criticism on a player once worshipped at the Emirates.
Things have gone from bad,to worse to worst from Ozil,as the brightness and vision he showed after joining the Gunners in September last year,looks to be vanishing with every game.
Today,MESUT OZIL is been regarded as a FLOP by suprisingly (not really suprising to GOAL ZONE)
Arsenal fans,even though manager Arsene Wenger has moved to his defence today,the club supporters feel they are NOT getting the worth of a whooping sum of £42.5m.
