Iran coach Carlos Queiroz has named the following 28-man squad for training camps in Tehran and Austria ahead of the World Cup finals.
Iran are in Group F with Argentina, Bosnia and Nigeria for the opening round of June 12-July 13 tournament in Brazil.
Fulham midfielder Ashkan Dejagah and Charlton forward Reza Ghoochannejhad are named in the preliminary squad.
Former Arsenal midfielder Edu will assist Queiroz at the World Cup in Brazil this summer.
The 35-year-old is currently general manager of Brazilian club Corinthians who will host the Iran squad for a pre-tournament training camp.
The deadline to announce the final 23-man squads for the World Cup is June 2.
