Dani Alves reportedly agrees to join PSG

Barcelona right-back, Dani Alves recently admitted that if the energy at the Catalan club didn’t change, he would consider leaving the club this summer and according to one report, he has already agreed to a change of scenery and joining French Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint Germain.

According to French sports daily, L’Equipe, Alves has said yes to manager Laurent Blanc and will join the two-time French champions this summer, that is, if the two sides can reach a transfer agreement.

Alves, who has one year remaining on his current deal, recent told Catalan radio station Rac1 that he is considering leaving the club to get away from the negative atmosphere.

“It takes a lot to get to Barcelona and whoever it hurts saying this, I’m still a part of the history of this club. We need energy, that’s what motivates me, even though I’m happy here and always have been. I’ve always been that way.

“I really believe in energy. I live for this energy and if negative energy begins to show, then things don’t flow. If that energy doesn’t change, I’m sure I’ll go, because I’ll be tired of it. For me to stay this summer, there has to be a change of energy.”

Alves’ exit from Barcelona would give way for La Masia graduate, Martin Montoya to finally get his chance to be the every day starter.
