Manchester City struggling to reach UEFA compromise over FFP sanctions

Manchester City's attempts to reduce the sanction handed out by UEFA for breaching Financial Fair Play rules are yet to be successful.

It is believed that the North-West outfit will be hit with a £50m fine and will have to reduce their Champions League squad from 25 players to 21.

Reports have claimed that City are contesting the punishment and have until the end of the week to reach an agreement, but so far negotiations with the European governing body have made little progress, according to The Express.

It has been reported that Paris Saint-Germain will face similar sanctions, but are close to reaching a compromise with UEFA, unlike the 2012 Premier League champions.

If City fail to come to an agreement, UEFA's club financial control board will step in for adjudication.
