A late equaliser has given Paraguay a 1-1 draw with France in their international friendly at Allianz Riviera this evening.
The first chance of the game fell to Paraguay as Romero crossed the ball in for Santa Cruz, but the ball was blocked by Sagna.
The French side started to dominate the possession as the first half progressed, creating a chance for Olivier Giroud, but the Arsenal striker was too well marked.
France continued to apply pressure as half time approached, but Silva managed to make the save for the South American side.
Samudio got the better of Patrice Evra early in the second half as he tried to create an opening goal for Paraguay, but he could not get the better of Hugo Lloris.
Giroud continued to pose a threat up front for France, teaming up with Evra on several occasions, but Paraguay continued to keep the ball out.
However, Didier Deschamps's side took the lead inside the final 10 minutes when Antoine Greizmann collected the ball from a corner before curling the ball into the back of the net.
Paraguay had a chance to get back on level terms almost straight away when Ortiz found himself through on goal, but could not get his header on target.
They continued to seek an equaliser and managed to find one in the 89th minute, as Victor Caceres beat the defender for a one-on-one with Lloris, easily heading past the France captain to earn the draw for Paraguay.
