Manchester United are reportedly considering a bid for AC Milan midfielder Nigel de Jong.
The 29-year-old is currently representing the Netherlands at the World Cup and played in each of his country's three games in the group stages.
According to the Daily Star, the Red Devils want to bring in a defensive midfielder and have targeted De Jong, who is valued at £10m by his club.
If he does move to United, then he will link up with his current national team manager Louis Van Gaal, who will take charge of the Premier League club when he returns from Brazil.
De Jong joined Milan in August 2012 from Manchester City.
