Atletico Madrid are ready to make yet another blockbuster signing, as the La Liga champions are reportedly set to make a £14m bid for Manchester United midfielder, Shinji Kagawa.
According to the Daily Express and talkSPORT, Atletico Madrid have already made enquiries into the availability of the Japanese international and are now ready to submit a formal offer for the 25-year-old.
Atleti have already brought in Mario Mandzukic from Bayern Munich and Antoine Griezmann from Real Sociedad to bolster their attack and now look to rejuvenate the career of the once prolific playmaker, who has been a shadow of his former self since making the move from Borussia Dortmund to Old Trafford three years ago.
Manchester United fans feel that Kagawa hasn’t been given a chance to show his quality due to the lack of consistent minutes, but the arrival of Juan Mata last January has virtually sealed Kagawa’s fate, with Atletico Madrid keen to swoop in a get the midfielder at a cut-rate.
