Bacary Sagna has revealed that he is looking forward to the next phase of his career at Manchester City.
The French full-back, 31, joined the Premier League champions on a free transfer from Arsenal earlier this summer.
Despite competition for places at the Etihad Stadium, Sagna admits that he is excited about working hard and fighting for a spot in the first team during the upcoming campaign.
"I spent seven years in Arsenal and had a great time there but I wanted to start from the bottom again, to work hard again and I think I just chose the best city in England and even in Europe," he told the club's official website.
"To me, City is a great team, and I'll have to work really hard to get into the team and that's what I'm looking forward to."
Sagna, who has won 42 caps for France, moved to Arsenal from Auxerre in 2007.
