Jamie Carragher pays tribute to Pepe Reina

Jamie Carragher has hailed the contribution that Pepe Reina made during his stint with Liverpool.

The Spanish goalkeeper arrived at Anfield in 2005 and he was a virtual ever present in the starting lineup up until last season, when he was replaced by Simon Mignolet and subsequently loaned out to Italian side Napoli.

The 31-year-old is now expected to sign a permanent deal with Bayern Munich and upon learning of the move, Carragher took to Twitter to pay tribute to his former teammate.

Good luck to @PReina25 top keeper and man. From 2006/09 one of the best in Europe. Kept a fair few clean sheets together!
