Javier Manquillo eyes Liverpool stay

Javier Manquillo has revealed that he wants to stay at Liverpool "for many more years in the future" following his loan move to the club.

The Atletico Madrid defender, 20, signed a temporary deal with the Premier League side on Wednesday.

Manquillo's spell with Liverpool is due to end in summer 2016, but he admits that he is keen to remain at Anfield beyond that time.

"The immediate objective is to do the best I possibly can here. I've come here to try and secure a place for myself in the side and, if possible, stay here for many more years in the future," he told the club's official website.

Manquillo has played for Spain at various youth levels, including seven appearances for their Under-20 side.
