Manchester United have upped their offer for World Cup star Juan Cuadrado to £32million.
United boss Louis Van Gaal wants to fend off competition from Barcelona to land the Colombian who shone in Brazil this summer.
And according to reports in Italy, Van Gaal has made a fresh offer for Cuadrado.
Sky Sport Italia claim United have lodged a £32m plus add-ons bid for the Fiorentina winger.
Barcelona are also interested in the 28-year-old and Van Gaal is wary of a bidding war raising Cuadrado's value.
"I cannot talk about Cuadrado, because if I say something about him the price will rise," Van Gaal said.
Fiorentina are reportedly holding out for £40m for their prized asset.
