Liverpool have agreed a £2.5 million fee with Bayern Munich for Spanish goalkeeper Pepe Reina. The former Liverpool number 1 is set for a medical today for a permanent move away from Anfield.

Reina did fly with the Reds to America but he didn’t play a game. The Spanish keeper didn’t even make the bench against Manchester United in the ICC final. The Spanish keeper spent last season on loan at Napoli and is the only keeper to save a Mario Balotelli penalty
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge expanded on the club’s official website, saying: ‘The player will come to Munich in the next few days for a medical exam and to sign his contract. Pepe Reina was eager to come to Bayern Munich.
‘He wanted to embark on this adventure even though he knows that, in Manuel Neuer, he has a keeper in front of him who, if nothing changes, will always remain the number one.
Pepe Reina have received interest from other clubs but none have been able to match his wage demands.
