Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho 'open' to managing another Premier League club

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has suggested that he would take charge of another Premier League club should his time with the Blues come to an end.

The Portuguese coach returned to Stamford Bridge for a second spell last year following a three-year stint at Real Madrid.

Mourinho first arrived at Chelsea in 2004, but left at the start of the 2007-08 season before joining Inter Milan.

When referring to the prospect of taking over at another top-flight English club, Mourinho told Portuguese paper Record: "If it had to be, yes, but my priority will always be Chelsea and never think about the interest of others.

"I know football and know I won't be here five, eight, 10 years if I don't manage to win. Of course not. When I have to think about the matter then we'll see.

"The difference is that last time I didn't have the aim of staying many, many years. Now I'll stay as long as they want me to. I really am the happy one."

Mourinho failed to win silverware in his first season back at the West London club, but his side are currently leading the way at the top of the league table.
