Manuel Pellegrini: 'Manchester City will fight until the end in Champions League'

Manuel Pellegrini has vowed that Manchester City will "fight until the end" to earn qualification from Group E following their latest setback.

The Citizens remain winless in the Champions League this season having been held to a 1-1 draw at home to Roma last night.

Sergio Aguero gave City an early lead from the penalty spot, but Francesco Totti hit back for the visitors to secure a valuable point for his side.

"We weren't very accurate with our passing and when we lost the ball, maybe we didn't have enough midfielders to cover," Pellegrini is quoted as saying by FIFA.com. "But I don't think that was the reason. The main problem was we lost many easy passes.

"We have only one point from six, but we're only three points behind Roma. It depends on a lot of things. We hope we can win the next game in Russia. We have 12 more points to fight for and we'll try to fight until the end to qualify."

Man City take on CSKA Moscow in three weeks' time.
