Aston Villa are reportedly looking to sign former Chelsea hitman Demba Ba this month in an effort to solve their goalscoring woes.
The Villans have netted just 11 times in their 22 Premier League games and, according to The Mirror, will look to snap up the Senegalese before the transfer window closes on Monday.
However, Paul Lambert could face competition from West Bromwich Albion and Hull City, both of whom have lodged bids, according to Besiktas vice president Ahmet Nur Cebi.
Ba has netted 14 times in 20 games for the Turkish giants since joining from the Blues last summer.
The 29-year-old, who has also spent time with West Ham United and Newcastle United, struck 14 times in an 18-month stint at Stamford Bridge, where he was often reduced to cameo appearances.
