Chelsea target Douglas Costa has pleaded with Shakhtar Donetsk not to stand in his way of a dream move to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues have identified Costa as an alternative to top target Juan Cuadrado, as Jose Mourinho eyes a statement signing this month.
Cuadrado however comes with a big price tag, and the Blues have been told to meet his £26.8m buyout clause.
A move for either Costa or Cuadrado would materialise if they offload either Andre Schurrle or Mohamed Salah.
Costa is desperate to engineer a move to the Blues and he has urged the Ukrainian giants not to price him out of a dream switch.
He said: "I put my situation to them and they said they would try to help me. Now, we’ll see if it comes to an agreement.”
Costa has already admitted his desire to play under Mourinho when he said: "To play at Chelsea is a dream for any player... but really, what catches my eye is the coach."
