Jose Mourinho has lashed out at his fringe players after their FA Cup defeat by Bradford.
The Chelsea boss promised changes against Liverpool tomorrow night in the semi-final of the Capital One Cup.
Both Mohamed Salah and Andre Schurrle are poised to be on their way out of Stamford Bridge this week, as the Chelsea manager reshuffles his squad after the cup embarrassment. Chelsea crashed 4-2 to League One Bradford as the manager switched from his regular league line-up.
Mourinho said: “It is easy for people to understand now why I play almost every game with the same players. But it is not because of this disappointment and this bad performance that I am going to change things.”
Egyptian winger Salah’s loan move to Roma is set to go through in the next 24 hours, while Wolfsburg have offered £23million for winger Schurrle.
Jordan Henderson, meanwhile, has warned Chelsea they will not bully Liverpool tomorrow. He said: “You have to be strong mentally and physically.”
