Manchester United are reportedly refusing to throw in the towel in their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos.
The Red Devils have regularly been linked with move for the 20-year-old, with Adnan Januzai mooted in a possible swap deal.
According to the Daily Mail, PSG are reluctant to sell the player and view the centre-back as a mainstay of their backline.
It is thought that United are not put off by Les Parisiens' position on Marquinhos and the club may even try with a summer bid, having failed to land the defender almost two years ago.
However, if United were to make an offer in excess of the £40m reportedly paid by Manchester City for Eliaquim Mangala, that still might not be enough for the French champions to agree a sale.
PSG return to Champions League action next Wednesday when they face Premier League leaders Chelsea, with the tie poised at 1-1 following the first leg at the Parc Des Princes almost a fortnight ago.
