Chelsea defender Gary Cahill believes that that he and his teammates have been more "ruthless" this season in their pursuit of the Premier League title.
The Blues finished third in the top flight last season as they made several mistakes towards the end of the campaign to miss out on the crown in Jose Mourinho's first year back at the club.
However, Cahill feels that his side have eradicated those errors this season to put them on the brink of winning their fourth Premier League title since 2005.
"I think we're more ruthless," Cahill told Sky Sports News. "We've learned a lot from last season when he dropped a good few points in games against teams we should have been beating.
"I think that stuck in our heads when we go to tough places now, like at QPR. We were at different ends of the table but the game was even and tight until the end.
"There's so much competition [in the Premier League] so we should be proud to have achieved what we've done since the start of the season. But the crunch comes now. The hard work is still to be done and we don't want to throw that away."
Chelsea take on Manchester United in their clash at Stamford Bridge later today.
