Memphis Depay stands to earn £28million if he completes his switch to Manchester United.
The 21-year-old winger is close to agreeing in principle to leave PSV and join up with Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford.
According to the Daily Star, United officials have met with PSV counterparts to thrash out a deal that will see him switch allegiances once the transfer window opens.
Depay is valued at £25m and would be manager Van Gaal's first major recruit of the summer, earning £7m a season from a four-year contract.
He has scored 20 goals in the Dutch league this season, helping Eindhoven to their first Eredivisie title in seven years.
The winger caught the eye last summer when he scored two goals at the World Cup in Brazil - becoming the youngest ever player to score in a World Cup at 20 years and four months.
United have fended off interest from Liverpool and PSG to be first in line for Depay, who was branded the 'next Cristiano Ronaldo' by Dutch football legend Ronald de Boer.
"I don't want to say which club is more suitable for him, but if he goes to United he knows there is a Dutch coach there in Van Gaal who knows him from the World Cup," De Boer said.
"That is an advantage. He is one of the biggest talents in Europe - he has everything".
