Valencia are looking to sign Manchester City star David Silva after missing out on Manchester United playmaker Juan Mata, according to reports.
The Sun claims that the Spanish outfit are looking to bring the former Mestalla star back to La Liga in an audacious summer raid following the club's fine form this season.
Mata, who also plied his trade for Valencia before joining Chelsea, was believed to be Nuno Espirito Santo's first choice for a new No.10.
However, the 26-year-old has finally won over Louis van Gaal, and will apparently be staying put at Old Trafford.
It is added that Silva is now the man wanted by Valencia, with Santo confident of a deal following speculation over the future of Manuel Pellegrini and a number of City's top stars.
