Manchester United are reportedly hoping to fend off interest in David de Gea from Real Madrid by offering the Spaniard £200,000 a week to stay at the club.
De Gea's performances for the Red Devils have seen him linked with move to Los Merengues on several occasions during this season.
However, United are hoping that a £10m-per-year contract might sway the ex-Atletico Madrid shot-stopper to stay, according to The Mirror.
Furthermore, De Gea is thought to be happy at the club and is willing to extend his stay with the former Premier League champions, despite continued reports of a move away.
United lost 1-0 at home to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday evening.
