West Ham United have reportedly decided against attempting to turn Alex Song's loan deal into a permanent move.
Song quickly became a key part of Sam Allardyce's plans after joining the club on loan from Barcelona last summer, but the club have not yet suggested that they will launch a bid for his services.
According to The Mirror, the 27-year-old's form in the second half of the season has persuaded the club's hierarchy to abandon a permanent move, and his £80,000-a-week wages are also believed to be putting off the Hammers.
Song has been linked with a number of other clubs, including Inter Milan, and it is unlikely that he will have a future at the Camp Nou.
