Things have not started well for Slaven Bilic and, after his Europa League shadow team selection gamble backfired and West Ham were knocked out of the competition by Astra Giurgiu, their supporters are already grumbling. Perhaps, in time, Bilic will be glad to be free of a draining European campaign but right now he needs a tonic and Arsenal, who are flying high after their Community Shield victory, looks like a daunting assignment.
