Barcelona VS Sevilla Preview

Barcelona will attempt to equal Milan’s record of five Uefa Super Cups without Neymar who has been sidelined with illness, opening the door for Pedro, who has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United of late. Barça are also without the injured duo Jordi Alba and Douglas while their new signings Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal, signed from Sevilla, cannot play until January but have made the trip to Tbilisi. Sevilla contest the Super Cup for the second year in a row, having successfully defended the Europa League last season, and again face Spanish opposition after losing 2-0 to Real Madrid 12 months ago. The Sevilla coach, Unai Emery, has not beaten Barcelona in 19 matches but has the new signings Yevhen Konoplyanka and Ciro Immobile, although Adil Rami is a doubt due to illness.
