Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is reportedly facing two months on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury in training.
The Belgium international has already been ruled out of this weekend's Premier League match against Everton.
According to the Daily Mail, while the club's medical staff are yet to determine the full extent of the damage due to swelling, they have warned Courtois that it could be at least two months until he is fit to play again.
The Premier League champions reportedly feared that the 23-year-old had suffered cruciate ligament damage, but doctors have ruled that out.
In the meantime, Asmir Begovic is expected to deputise as Chelsea try to get back to winning ways following just one triumph in their first four league games of the season.
