Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis believes that young managers in the lower divisions should be given a chance in the Premier League.
Several clubs in the top flight have switched bosses this season, but none of them chose to pluck a manager from below the top tier of English football.
Pulis told reporters: "There's a reluctance sometimes for Premier League clubs to go down to the lower leagues and pick younger managers and I think that's a bit of a shame.
"There are some excellent young managers in the Championship and lower down who won't get the opportunity unless they actually bring a team up themselves, which is disappointing."
Palace take on Liverpool in their Premier League clash later today.
