Atletico Madrid to sign Carlos Bacca as replacement for Diego Costa

Atletico Madrid are looking to sign Carlos Bacca from Sevilla, paving the way for Diego Costa to join Chelsea, it has been reported.

Costa, who has scored 27 goals in La Liga this season so far, is reportedly on the Stamford Bridge outfit's radar, but the Colchoneros are thought to be reluctant to sell one of their key players.

According to the Daily Star, the Champions League finalists have tabled in a bid for Bacca, who has a buy-out clause of £25m in his current contract, as a replacement.

Reports also claim that a tentative agreement has been reached between the sides, who started negotiations after the 3-1 Champions League defeat in April.

Costa is allegedly back in training for Atletico Madrid after suffering an injury this week.
