Inter Milan have boosted their hopes of a Europa League spot by coming from a goal behind to comfortably beat Lazio 4-1 at the San Siro.
The visitors took the lead within the opening three minutes courtesy of Giuseppe Biava, who was picked out by Lorik Cana before beating Samir Handanovic in the Inter goal.
Lazio's lead did not last long, however, as Mateo Kovacic found Rodrigo Palacio inside the box with the striker shooting into the bottom corner to level the contest on seven minutes.
Mauro Icardi fired Inter ahead when he found the back of the net after being played in by Kovacic, leaving the goalkeeper helpless with his effort to make it 2-1.
Three minutes later the Nerazzurri extended their lead thanks to Palacio, who showed the composure needed to bury the ball past Etrit Berisha to add his second of the night before the interval.
Despite their commanding position, Inter needed Handanovic to produce a string of top-quality saves to firstly deny Biava's header, before keeping out both Balde Keita and Felipe Anderson.
Lazio were made to pay for the missed chances when Hernanes added goal number four for the home side having found the target with a 20-yard drive against his former club to round off the scoring.
