Man. United will listen to offers for Wilfried Zaha

The Red Devils are willing to take a £5 million hit on the £15m tthat hey paid for the winger 16 months ago and will look to loan him out again if no suitable offers are received

Manchester United are open to offers for misfit winger Wilfried Zaha this summer and are willing to take a £5 million hit on the £15m that they paid Crystal Palace for him 16 months ago, Goal can reveal.

United officials are aware that the unsettled youngster would prefer a move back south and have already fielded calls about his situation, with Arsenal, Tottenham, Newcastle and former club Palace all interested.

Arsenal would be a particularly attractive option for Zaha, who supported the Gunners as a boy and almost moved to north London before being swayed by a personal plea from Sir Alex Ferguson.

Zaha arrived at Old Trafford last summer after firing the Eagles to promotion but failed to impress David Moyes, making just four appearances before being sent out on loan to struggling Cardiff City.

But the England Under-21s international's spell in Wales has been no more productive, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer granting him just 13 appearances as the Bluebirds suffered relegation from the Premier League.

If no suitable permanent offers are forthcoming for Zaha this summer, United are willing to consider another loan spell in the Premier League. The youngster's £25,000-a-week wages are not expected to pose a problem to any deal.

There is a feeling within United that Wigan would represent the ideal loan option for Zaha if they gain promotion to the top flight through the Championship play-offs this season under Uwe Rosler.

The two clubs enjoy a good relationship and fellow United youngster Nick Powell has benefitted from a temporary spell at the DW Stadium this term.
