Sporting Lisbon defender Marcos Rojo claims he will only consider a summer transfer for the right money.
The 24-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League after helping Argentina reach the final of the World Cup this summer.
Southampton are the latest club to show an interest in his services, joining Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United.
Saints boss Ronald Koeman is still in the market for a new left-back after the departure of Luke Shaw to Old Trafford, despite the arrival of Ryan Bertrand on loan.
A bid of £11m from the St Mary's club has already been rejected, with Sporting reportedly holding out for a fee of £16m.

And Rojo has given the Premier League quartet a boost after claiming he would consider a move, but only for a significant wage rise.
Talking about a possible move this summer, Rojo said: "Everyone has a price.
"If a good deal arrives, then I’m sure I will sit down with the club and evaluate things."
Rojo was in fine form for Sporting Lisbon last season, getting on the scoresheet six times as the club finished runners up in the Primeira Liga.
