Serie A outfit Roma are eager to agree a deal for Liverpool right-back Glen Johnson to move to Italy in the summer, according to reports.
The 30-year-old defender, whose contract is due to expire at the end of the season, is free to speak to foreign clubs in January.
According to the Telegraph, Roma want Johnson to join up with former Chelsea left-back Ashley Cole on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Liverpool signed Johnson for £18m in 2009 from Portsmouth.
