New York Red Bulls are reportedly eyeing a move for Steven Gerrard, if the Liverpool captain fails to agree a new deal.
According to The Telegraph, the MLS outfit have included Gerrard on their "discovery list" for potential future transfers, which means that if the England international decides to play in the United States, the Red Bulls have first call on him ahead of rival North American sides.
The Eastern Conference outfit, who were knocked out by New England Revolution in the MLS playoffs this year, are also thought to hoping that Gerrard's long-standing relationship with sporting director and former Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier will help sway the star.
Gerrard, who is likely to start Sunday's crunch match against rivals Manchester United, is yet to agree a deal to remain at Anfield and is said to be considering his options.
The former European Cup winner can sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs from January, However, it is expected that the veteran midfielder is likely to wait until the end of the season before announcing his future plans.
