Manchester United starlet Will Keane can't wait for the new season to start under Louis Van Gaal's 3-5-2 formation.
Keane has spent most of his career in United's Under-21s side, scoring 22 goals in his 43 outings.
The 21-year-old made just one substitute appearance against Roma in pre-season, but is pleased to have been given the chance to train in America with Van Gaal to get used to the new system.
The Dutch tactician favours a 3-5-2 formation, and Keane claims the United squad have adapted well and are ready for the upcoming season.
"With the new manager and the new staff coming in, they have their own way of playing," Keane said.
"They have their own methods, I think it has been important to be around that for the first few weeks and to grasp that and get a feel for it, to see how they want us to play. That's been important.
"We have tried it [new formation] and we have got some success from it, which brings confidence to the team.
"The work that we do in training, you can see it in the games and it is paying off. That makes you feel good about yourself and you know that what you are doing is right. It is good.
"We have had some tough matches (in pre-season) and we have come through so everyone is raring to go for the start of the new season."
